Hemp is not tobacco
IG Hemp Switzerland was asked for a statement in the context of the consultation procedure on the Ordinance on Tobacco Products and Electronic Cigarettes (TabPV). With the new tobacco law, which is to come into force in 2024, CBD and other hemp products can be marketed under tobacco law as “similar products”. In addition, the requirements for self-regulation have been specified. The quality label of IG Hemp Switzerland could further establish itself as the essential standard for hemp products.
