The semi-synthetic cannabinoid hexahydrocannabinol, better known as HHC, was listed on March 31, 2023 by the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) as a product with suspected narcotic-like effects in Annex 6, List of the Narcotics List Ordinance (BetmVV - EDI). Together with 11 other substances. HHC is now considered a substance that is subject to all control measures under narcotics law. In the future, a permit from the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (Swissmedic) will be required to handle HHC (Art. 4 para. 1 and Art. 7 para. 2 Narcotics Act).
