This autumn, groundbreaking elections will take place. The National Council and Council of States will be elected for the next four years.
Four years that will be decisive for the hemp industry and for all cannabis consumers in Switzerland. During this time, a new cannabis law (parliamentary initiative Siegenthaler, 20.473) will be discussed and implemented by the National Council and the Council of States.
Before the upcoming election, the National Council is pro-hemp with a narrow majority (a total of 51% yes or rather yes). It is now up to us to ensure that the supporters of sensible hemp regulation remain in the majority in the National Council. A majority must first be won in the Council of States (see graphic below).

Find out with one click which politicians in your canton are cannabis-friendly at www.smartvote.ch (Questionnaire category Society & Ethics) and use your vote to ensure that the new parliament can approve new regulations in favor of effective youth and health protection.
Sensible cannabis regulation forms the basis for consumer protection, quality assurance, combating the black market and the sustainable development of the Swiss hemp industry. Through targeted regulation, the potential of the cannabis plant can be exploited sensibly and Switzerland can act as a pioneer worldwide for an adequate regulatory model.

Only regulation works!
